On June 19, 2023, just before 8:00 pm, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report of an injury motor vehicle crash on Huntington Road south of Riverview Drive, in La Pine.

Upon arrival deputies rendered aid to Driver #1, who had severe injuries and was entrapped in a silver 2018 Subaru hatchback. Bystanders who heard the crash had already arrived and were rending aid as well.

La Pine Fire responded and had to extricate Driver #1 from the vehicle and was transported to St. Charles, Bend by air ambulance due to his injuries.
