Bend Man Airlifted After Motorcycle Crash

A 61-ear-old Bend man was airlifted with serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle into a parked car near Devils Lake Sunday afternoon.

Initial reports advised a motorcycle had collided with a parked vehicle and the motorcycle operator was in the middle of the Cascade Lakes Highway. The parked vehicle was un-occupied at the time of the crash.

Based on the mechanism of the crash an air ambulance was dispatched and AirLink responded to the crash scene. The motorcycle operator, later identified as Torry Howard Berger was transported to St. Charles, Bend via helicopter with serious injuries.

The roadway was closed for approximately an hour and a half. Intoxicants are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
