Fire Destroys Home In Deschutes River Woods

Bend Fire Department responded to Deschutes River Woods for a house on fire in the early Sunday, Jan. 28th. A neighbor called 911 just after 4am stating the house across the street was on fire. Crews responded to Faugarwee Cir and found the house to fully involved when they arrived. They quickly stopped the fire and contained it to the house. It was determined that no one was home at the time of the fire. The fire caused an estimated $25,000 in damages. The 1970’s manufactured home is considered a complete loss as well as its contents.

The fire appears to be accidental but the direct cause can’t be determined due to the extent of damage. The owners were contacted here in town and are working with their insurance company to begin the clean up process.
