October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

saving-grace

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a nationally recognized initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the prevalence of intimate partner violence and supporting survivors throughout the month. With 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experiencing intimate partner violence in their lifetimes, DVAM serves as a vital reminder of the need for community education and action. Throughout October, we invite the community to join us in spreading awareness and standing in solidarity with survivors. From wearing purple ribbons to attending local events, there are many ways to get involved. Participating in Domestic Violence Awareness Month is a powerful way to show support, learn more about the issue, and contribute to the safety and healing of our community. For more information on resources, upcoming events, and how you can participate, please visit www.saving-grace.org/dvam.

At Saving Grace, we are dedicated to raising awareness about intimate partner violence and encouraging everyone in our community to be part of the conversation, helping to create a safer, more informed environment for all. We offer a range of critical services, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, legal advocacy, and counseling, to provide safety, hope, and healing. As the only organization offering these services in Central Oregon, we are here to support survivors. If you or someone you know needs help, please call our helpline at 541-389-7021.
