Unconscious Man Found In Deschutes River

Bend Police are investigating after finding an unconscious man in the Deschutes River. At approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, Bend Police responded to a report of a man floating facedown in the Deschutes River just north of the Portland Avenue bridge at Pioneer Park, 155 NW Wall Street.

Upon arrival, officers pulled the 42-year-old Bend man from the water and performed CPR on him. He was transported by Bend Fire to St. Charles Bend, where he remains in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
