At approximately 2:36 a.m. on June 21st, 2025, Frontier 911 dispatchers received a request for an officer to respond to a business in the 100 block of S. 5th Street in Madras. The caller informed dispatchers that several gunshots were heard in the area. A short time later, officers were dispatched to St. Charles Hospital in Madras for the report of a gunshot victim.
Due to the information dispatchers were receiving from the caller, officers began searching the immediate and surrounding area in the 100 block of S. 5th Street and responded to St. Charles Hospital. The victim was identified as a 38-year-old Madras resident.
The Madras Police Department was assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Bend Police Department and the Oregon State Police.
