·        Must provide proof of certification or eligibility for certification by the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training

Individuals who are qualified and interested in serving as the interim Sheriff will need to submit application materials to the Board by Friday, July 11 at 5 p.m. Candidates can visit www.deschutes.org/interimsheriff for additional information and application instructions.

The Board of Commissioners has indicated it intends to identify the appointee before July 31.
