It’s baaaaaack! The Literary Ghost Walk returns to the Downtown Bend Library, and this year’s haunted stroll promises to be more spirited than ever. Visitors of all ages are invited to meet the ghosts of famous authors, enjoy live music, and make family-friendly crafts. But be careful as you walk through the stacks—you never know who you’ll run into (or walk through).
Join us on Wednesday, October 29, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., as the ghosts of authors past fill the Downtown Bend Library for an evening of intrigue. Meet the spirits of writers like Edward Gorey, Dorothy Parker, Shel Silverstein, Toni Morrison, and more—they’re just dying to tell you more about their works. Pick up a Ghost Walk Passport and collect stamps from the authors along your way to earn a book or toy at the end of the event.
Costumes are encouraged and the event is designed to be family-friendly with something for everyone—whether you’re a paranormal ghost-hunter or want to learn more about great works of literature. Celebrate thrilling tales and get curious about authors in a way that’s interactive, educational, and just the right amount of eerie for all ages.
