The Redmond Senior Center (RSC) is proud to announce it has been awarded the prestigious “Business of the Year” in the Customer Service category by the Redmond, Oregon Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the Chamber’s annual awards celebration last Friday, January 16, 2026.

This recognition highlights the Redmond Senior Center’s unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service for Central Oregon’s seniors. From the moment a guest enters the building, every individual is greeted within five seconds, welcomed by friendly staff, warm smiles, and music in the background—a philosophy inspired by Redmond’s own Wild Ride Brewing, last year’s Business of the Year recipient.
Randy Graves, Executive Director of the Redmond Senior Center, shared:

“The Redmond Senior Center is extremely honored to be the customer service business of the year! When my wife and I moved to Redmond in 2021 and we visited Wild Ride (Business of the Year 2025) I recognized how no matter how many folks were in line to order, the staff would go 10 deep to take your drink order. At the Redmond Senior Center, 2 years ago we implemented their philosophy—we greet everyone in the first 5 seconds of entering our building to make sure they feel welcome, with music in the background and a warm smile. Thank you, Wild Ride, for setting the standard for customer service. Our team of 8 at the RSC love what we do and will continue to welcome Central Oregon’s Senior population. Our goal is to continue to combat loneliness in Central Oregon!”

The Redmond Senior Center’s award-winning approach includes:
  • Meals on Wheels: Over 31,000 meals delivered annually, always free of charge, ensuring no senior faces hunger or isolation.
  • Passion for Pets: Monthly pet food deliveries so seniors never have to choose between their own nutrition and their beloved companions.
  • Holistic Wellness: Monthly Wellbeing Series and a custom Wellness Journal empower seniors in their physical and emotional health journeys.
  • Tech Empowerment: “You’ve Got This: A Senior’s Guide to Windows 11” helps older adults stay connected and confident in today’s digital world.
  • Gratitude-Centered Campaigns: Publicly celebrating donors, volunteers, and members through engaging community initiatives.
  • Community Integration: Programs that connect seniors with local businesses and resources, embedding them at the heart of Redmond’s vibrant community.
Fueled by these initiatives, the Center has seen paid membership and annual donations grow by over 300% in the past two years, enabling expanded services and deeper community impact.
The Redmond Senior Center extends heartfelt thanks to the Redmond Chamber of Commerce, its dedicated staff, volunteers, and all who make its mission possible. Together, RSC is ensuring that every senior in Central Oregon feels welcomed, valued, and empowered.
