SISTERS, OR — The recreational shooting area at Zimmerman Cinder Pit near Sisters will close Sunday. The closure, which runs through December 1st, will protect contractors who will clear several trees in the area. Zimmerman Cinder Pit is 3 ½ miles west of Sisters.
Those invested in other shooting areas are encouraged to visit Garrison Pit, Schilling Pit or McKenzie Pit.
