Business BriefsBEND, OR — COCC officials will cut the ribbon on the new $2 Redmond Technology Education Center Tuesday.  The event starts at 4:30 p.m.

Two out-of-area physician executives have joined the St. Charles Health System’s board of directors.  Dr. Steven Gordon is system VP of care transformation for PeaceHealth in Vancouver, WA.  Dr. Hartwell Lin is medical director of the emergency department of John Muir Medical Center in Concord, CA.

Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue and Rite Aid will hold a flu shot clinic Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m..  The clinic will take place on SW Shad Rd.  The public can drop by the fire station during clinic hours and receive a vaccination from a certified immunizing Rite Aid pharmacist.  No appointment is needed.

Jeff Precourt, publisher of The World in Coos Bay, has been named publisher of the Albany Democrat-Herald and the Corvallis Gazette-Times. Lee Enterprises owns the three newspapers. Precourt will also be in charge of the weekly Lebanon Express.

According to a study by Wallet Hub, Oregon’s tax system is the 2nd best in the nation, when it comes to following principles of fairness.

Annual Rhubarb Festival

This event started in La Pine at L & S Gardens. Upon the retirement of Linda she graciously passed the event on to the La Pine Senior Activity Center.  Each year the community, gathers with everything Rhubarb.
