DCSO investigating car break-ins and a burglary in Sisters over the last week

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several car break-ins that occurred on the night of 10/4/17 and a burglary that occurred on the night of 10/7/17, in the city of Sisters.

The car break-ins occurred on South Oak St, South Pine Meadow and on North Songbird St.

The burglary occurred at Richard’s Produce at 411 West Cascade Avenue.

The Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public to lock vehicles and remove any valuables from the interior of vehicles to prevent becoming a victim of theft.

Citizens can remain anonymous and still provide valuable information on these cases. Anyone with information on any of these cases is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 541-693-6911.

Pine Mountain Fire is 85% Contained Monday

The Pine Mountain Fire is 85% contained and remains 2,589 acres in size. Today, firefighters will continue mop-up, back hauling equipment and identifying suppression repair needs. The remaining mop-up is isolated to heat off the control handline
