Oakridge woman who killed Redmond man won’t face charges

An Oakridge woman who killed a Redmond man won’t face charges.

Oakridge Police say Angela Slabaugh acted in self-defense when she shot her half-brother two days before Christmas.

The Register-Guard reports Slabaugh kicked Justin Ryan out of her home earlier in the day because he was intoxicated and behaving violently.

But police say he came back, forced his way back into the house and moved towards the woman as if to choke her.

That’s when she shot him.
