Deschutes County Seeks 9-1-1 Director

After nearly a year of vacancy, the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners are seeking a suitable candidate to assume the position of 9-1-1 Director during today and tomorrow’s round of interviews. Manager Erik Kropp says in the meantime, he and other managers in the district have been filling in.

Whoever does get the job will have big shoes to fill.

“The 9-1-1 Director oversees the 9-1-1 Deschutes County service district which includes about 50 employees,” Kropp says, “It provides the 9-1-1 services throughout Deschutes County which includes 17 user agencies. Over 165,000 residents are served by 9-1-1.”

Kropp says he is confident that this round of candidates will hold the new Director of the Deschutes County 9-1-1 Service.

The interviews begin at 8am Thursday and continue through Friday.
