Crews make progress on two Central Oregon Wildfires

Crews are making progress on two Central Oregon Wildfires.

The more than two-thousand-acre Tepee Fire 10 miles southeast of Bend is now 40 percent contained and people are no longer being told to leave their homes.

Some people who live in the area should still be ready to evacuate if necessary.

Investigators say an abandoned campfire started that fire.

Meanwhile, the smaller Willow Fire northwest of Madras is 60 percent contained; allowing officials to lift evacuation orders and open all roads.
