BEND, OR (November 3, 2018, 11:30am to 3:30pm)
Please join Kôr Community Land Trust for a SMASHING good time! This event benefits Kôr’s mission of providing environmentally sustainable and permanently affordable homeownership opportunities to those who contribute to the fabric of the Bend area economy and community. Kôr is a nonprofit that seeks to make homeownership attainable for Bend’s many skilled residents who find themselves priced out of the local housing market. Kôr uses the Community Land trust model to build sustainable housing that will be affordable for generations. This event will provide fun for the whole family! High school teams from all over Central Oregon will be designing and constructing their own trebuchet’s (Humungous Pumpkin Launcher),
doing preliminary calculations, and launching pumpkins across Piggyback Ranch, a heritage pig farm in Bend, for the win. In addition to fall fun, there will be a chili feed contest with local participating restaurants.
This year, we have added an open category for adult entries as well. We are currently accepting team entries, sponsorships, and volunteers. For more information please email us, info@korlandtrust.org. For more information about our mission, please visit us at korlandtrust.org.
