Cardinals Prepare for Seahawks

Streeter Lecka/Getty Images(TEMPE, Ariz.) — The Arizona Cardinals will travel to Seattle on Sunday with a big chip on their shoulder playing as the underdog under backup Drew Stanton.

Stanton led the Cardinals to a 14-6 win over the Lions last Sunday, but they won’t be the favorite entering the 12th man at CenturyLink Field.

“I would’ve anticipated that,” Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said. “Going up there, everybody’s usually an underdog. It’s another one of those things that we don’t really need any extra motivation to go play them, especially at their place.

“They’re the world champions. We’re just 9-1. We haven’t done s— until we do something, but this is a big game.”

Seattle is coming off a 24-20 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday and sits three games out of the NFC West behind Arizona.

“We know it’s going to be difficult,” Stanton said. “We’re not trying to pretend that it’s not, but at the same time, we have to stick with our keys and what we think we can do to be successful.”

Arizona knocked off Seattle in Week 16 last year to hand them their first home loss.
