
Bend, Ore. – Local ranchers and farmers are invited to attend two $10 workshops in Redmond specifically designed to assist agricultural producers:
Workshop: Make Your Brand Stand Out
Date: Saturday, December 13, 2014
Time: 9am-11:30am
Participants will learn how social media and websites can draw in customers, and get the word out about their farm, product or business.
Workshop: Meeting the Wholesale Market Demand
Date: Thursday, December 18, 2014
Time: 6pm-8:30pm
Participants will get help determining what changes on their farm or ranch are needed for direct and wholesale market development, as well discovering what values set them apart from others and what consumers are looking for in a brand and product.
Location for both workshops: COCC Technology Ed Center, 2324 SE College Loop, Redmond (the new building)

These workshops are part of an “Ag Business” series offered by COIC, OSU Extension and COCC’s Small Business Development Center to teach producers how to mitigate risk when entering these markets including: meeting wholesale demand; sound financial planning; crop planning; post-harvest handling; and developing buyer agreements.
