SISTERS, OR — A 60-year-old woman was flown to the hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle accident east of Sisters Wednesday morning. Oregon State Police troopers said Jill Beaman, Bend, was traveling west on Highway 20 when her car struck the side of an eastbound box truck. The woman was cut from her vehicle and flown to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
The truck driver, Jorge Malpica, 42, Vancouver, WA, suffered minor injuries.
Highway 20 was closed for about an hour, and reduced to one lane for several more Wednesday as crews responded.
