Salem, Ore. – Speaker of the House Tina Kotek today announced the House Committee and Joint Committee assignments for the 78th Assembly of the Oregon State Legislature. All House members will be sworn into office on January 12 and the 2015 session will begin on February 2. Key House Republican assignments include:

•Deputy Republican Leader Carl Wilson: Joint Committee on Implementing Measure 91, Vice Chair
•Assistant Republican Leader Cliff Bentz: Joint Committee on Tax Credits, Vice Chair
•Assistant Republican Leader John Davis: Committee on Health Insurance Transition
•Representative Greg Smith: General Government Subcommittee, Chair and Joint Ways & Means Committee, Vice Co-Chair
•Representative Bill Kennemer: Joint Committee on Health Insurance Transition, Vice Chair
•Representative Andy Olson: Joint Committee on Implementing Measure 91
•Freshman Representative Knute Buehler: Consumer Protection and Government Effectiveness Committee, Vice Chair
•Freshman Representative Cedric Hayden: Health Care Committee, Vice Chair
