iStock/Thinkstock(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) — A Tennessee woman is suing CVS after accusing the pharmacy of giving her the wrong pills.
Georgia Shipley, 77, of Knoxville, says she had picked up her blood pressure medication at CVS usual. However, she said “after I took the first pill, by the next day I felt really bad.”
At the emergency room, Shipley was diagnosed with acute kidney failure. When she got back home, she says she noticed that some of her pills were a little bigger than others.
Shipley says the pill could have killed her had she not noticed.
Shipley is suing CVS for $2.5 million.
“I just never dreamed anything like this would ever happen,” Shipley said.
CVS is not commenting on the litigation.
