Active Arson Investigation In Sisters

Local authorities are investigating a possible arson fire to a house in Sisters that occurred last weekend. Fire broke out around 9:00 pm Saturday to a residence at 152 North Larch St, causing $75,000 in damage to the home before it was quickly put out.

“The investigation has determined the origin of the fire was on the exterior of the residence and the cause was suspected to be due to arson,” according to a Deschutes County news release.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is working in coordination with the Oregon State Fire Marshall’s Office and the Oregon State Police Arson Unit on this active investigation.  Investigators are seeking assistance from the public for any information related to this fire.
