A 27-year-old Albany woman, reported as a missing person, was one of two people arrested for stealing a pickup in Bend last weekend. Micaela Gabrielle Horning was reported missing out of Linn County. She and Kory William Brown, 44, from California were arrested about 40 minutes after the theft. The two allegedly stole the Toyota pickup from a driveway in a subdivision in the 60000 block of Sally Lane.
Bend Police say the owner saw two people drive off and called police. About 40 minutes later, police spotted the pickup at NE 27th Street at NE Highway 20 East. A traffic stop at Highway 20 East at NE Dalton Street found the driver, Brown, and a passenger that would not provide her name. She was also arrested, and through investigation, she was determined to be Horning. Bend Police would like to remind our community members to always lock your vehicle, with the windows rolled up, and never leave your keys or valuables inside your vehicle.
