Bend Murder Suspect Caught in Tennessee

Two Bend brothers were caught in Tennessee Friday night after a nationwide manhunt. The two are connected to last week’s fatal shooting of a Redmond man in downtown Bend.

On August 18, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m. EST.,  Caleb Joseph Cegers, 20, from Bend, was contacted and arrested without incident in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Dahnte Nathaniel Cegers, 25, from Bend, was contacted at a residence in Cleveland, Tennessee earlier in the evening and subsequently taken into custody without incident.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend their appreciation to the United States Marshall Service and the Cleveland (Tennessee) City Police Department for their assistance.
