BEND, OR — The man accused of the August 2013 murder of a Sisters-area woman is scheduled to plea guilty and be sentenced Wednesday afternoon. Investigators said Joshua Leo Jokinen, 31, Pendleton, used a shovel to kill Carolyn Grace Burdick Last Year at her Cloverdale home. An autopsy reveled Burdick, 78, died of blunt force trauma. Jokinen was later arrested in Madras, after he called authorities to turn himself in.
