Bend, Ore. – Due to the unseasonably mild winter, the Nordic leg of The 39th Annual U.S. Bank Pole Pedal will be replaced with a 1 mile trail run that will begin at the Alpine to Nordic transition and finish at the normal Nordic to Bike exchange area.
This short run course will circle the trail around the parking lot, and follows a path similar to the already existing Nordic ski leg.
“Although we really hoped to keep the Nordic leg of the race, the snow conditions would not allow for a safe out and back course on the west side of Mt. Bachelor,” said Molly Cogswell-Kelley, the PPP race director.
The U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle is a multi sport event that includes Alpine and Cross Country skiing, cycling, running and kayaking.
The race is produced by and is a benefit for the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation.
