Fire Destroys Prineville Sheds, Triplex Protected

Firefighters responded to a structure fire in northeast Prineville Wednesday afternoon. No injuries were reported. Arriving crews found several sheds/outbuildings on fire that were spreading in the 400 block of NE 5 1/2 Street. Crews were able to control the fire before it extended to a nearby triplex, according to info from Crook County Fire & Rescue.

The Sheds were unoccupied, full of miscellaneous personal items. Crook County Fire & Rescue was assisted on scene by the Prineville Police Department and City of Prineville Public Works Department. Jefferson County Fire and EMS sent an ambulance to cover the district during the incident.

The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
