Crews Put Out Madras Structure Fire

Jefferson County Fire and EMS personnel along with Jefferson County Sheriffs Office responded to a report of working structure fire at a residence on Meadowlark Lane in Madras Wednesday.

Firefighters arrived on scene to a fully engulfed shop fire that was not threatening the primary residence on the property. Initial crews arrived on scene and conducted defensive fire operations. An all-personnel call back was initiated and mutual aid was requested from Warm Springs Fire Safety to provide ambulance coverage to the district. The fire was extinguished and no one was injured or hurt during the incident.

Jefferson County Fire and EMS would like to thank Jefferson County Sheriffs Office, Warm Springs Fire and Safety, Office of the Oregon State Fire Marshals, Central Electric Cooperative, and Deschutes Valley Water for their assistance during and after the fire.

The incident is currently under investigation.
