Ever wonder what it’s like to drive a school bus? Here’s your chance: Bend-La Pine Schools is hosting “Drive & Apply” events for anyone interested in driving a bus next school year. Get behind the wheel, take a spin on a closed course, and interview for a position as a school bus driver afterward.

“Being a bus driver is a great option for college students, retirees or anyone looking to work part time or more, earn fantastic benefits and join a supportive team, all while making a positive difference in the lives of kids every day,” said Kim Crabtree, Transportation Director for Bend-La Pine Schools.

Location 2: La Pine Middle School parking lot, 16360 1st Street, La Pine

The school district provides paid training for new hires needing to obtain or renew their Commercial Driver’s License. Base pay for drivers is $28.26 to $31.21 per hour.
