Kam Chancellor Won't End Holdout Without Alleviation of Contract Concerns

Safety Kam Chancellor is not expected to end his ongoing holdout until the team acts on his concerns about his contract. “Nothing has changed,” said Chancellor’s agent Alvin Keels, according to ESPN.com. “He will not report without his contract being addressed this season.”

Chancellor has not shown up for the first three weeks of training camp.

The pro bowler signed a four-year, $28 million extension to an existing deal before the 2013 season and still has three more years left under contract. Beyond the 2015 season, though, Chancellor is not guaranteed any money.

Though teams have the option to fine players up to $30,000 per day for missing training camp, ESPN.com notes that the Seahawks did not fine running back Marshawn Lynch when he held out last summer.
