Terrebonne, Ore. Friends of three Central Oregonians battling cancer will run and walk 70 miles through the night this weekend, November 7-8, at the 2nd Annual Prayer Run.
The sunset-to-sunrise event will raise money for Julie Sorensen who has pancreatic cancer, Jack Baldwin who has prostate cancer and Marina Avila who has breast cancer.
The event raised $7,500 last year, with participants enduring freezing cold temperatures and blistering winds. The organizers, Dave and Malissa Prevish, of Redmond, Oregon, are encouraging people to come out and be a Prayer Warrior to support the group, or post prayer requests on the event’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/prayerrunnerministries/.
Donations can be made at https://www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/nx5b/2nd-annual-prayerrunner-event. * Funds raised will be equally distributed between Sorensen, Baldwin and Avila.
