Bend, Ore. – Bend’s roads have taken a beating and accumulated $80 million worth of deferred street maintenance needs. A 5-cent per gallon fuel tax is on the March 8th ballot to fund repair and maintenance of city streets, bike-lanes, sidewalks, and curb ramps. If approved, an estimated $2.5 million annually will be generated from residents and tourists.
With such a heated topic, City Club of Central Oregon is bringing together City Council Member / Mayor Pro Tem, Sally Russell and City Council Member Victor Chudowsky for a special City Club Evening Forum to debate each side of the topic. We promise a lively debate with plenty of time for Q&A.
When: March 1, 5pm-7pm (program begins at 5:30pm),
