Tyler Golden/NBC(NEW YORK) — The Knockout Rounds on The Voice continued Tuesday night, with artists from Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera’s teams making a bid to advance in the competition. Each coach said goodbye to one artist.

No one from Adam Levine’s team took the stage during the one-hour episode.

Blake still had one steal to use entering the night, but he did not use it.

Once again, Miley Cyrus was on hand during rehearsals to advise the artists.

Blake got the episode started by pairing two team members he described as his “storytelling artists”: Adam Wakefield and Peyton Parker. Adam chose “Bring It on Home to Me” by Sam Cooke, while Peyton picked “Travelin’ Soldier” by Dixie Chicks.

Christina said Adam has a distinct, “inviting” voice. Both she and Pharrell detected a crack during Peyton’s performance. Blake reassured Peyton that some musicians have built a career upon a crack. He added that Adam’s voice is “dirty,” in a good way. Blake named Adam the winner. It was the end of the road for Peyton.

Team Pharrell’s Moushumi and Nick Hagelin faced off. Miley suggested to Nick during rehearsals that he put more air in his falsettos as he sang “Lost Without U” by Robin Thicke. Moushumi countered with Halsey’s “New Americana.”

After watching the artists’ on-stage performances, Adam said he would’ve liked to have seen more moves from Nick, who’s a dancer. Blake sided with Nick. Christina said Moushumi has a crystal-clear sound, and praised her song choice. Pharrell felt Nick’s first four lines were a little weak, but he got stronger as the performance continued. Pharrell kept Moushumi, saying there’s more work to be done with her. Nick was dismissed.

The final Knockout of the episode featured Maya Smith and Tamar Davis of Team Christina. Miley urged Maya during rehearsals to work on her confidence. Maya sang Alicia Keys’ “No One,” and Tamar covered Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down.”

Pharrell said Maya delivered her best performance to date, and declared it was like watching two superheroes “really show what your voices can do.” Christina announced Tamar as the winner. Maya is out of the competition.

The Knockout Rounds roll on next Monday night on NBC.
