New Redmond High Principal Named

Redmond, Ore. – Paul Nolan has been selected as the next Principal of Redmond High School. Nolan will fill the position currently held by Tony Pupo, who has accepted the position of Director of Support Services for the district at the end of the school year. Superintendent McIntosh made the decision to appoint Nolan based on his demonstrated leadership skills and the strong relationships he has built to support students, families and fellow staff members.

Paul Nolan has been with Redmond High School as Assistant Principal for almost two years. Prior to joining Redmond School District in 2014, he served as a teacher for Pendleton School District. Nolan graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. He received his master’s of education from the University of Oregon College of Education and his second master’s of education while completing work for his administrative license at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.

“It’s a real honor for me to be a part of the Redmond High School team and to be given the opportunity to continue to support the good work that we have started together,” shared Paul Nolan. “The students and staff at RHS are a family and I look forward to all that we will accomplish, together, in the years to come.”

Nolan’s contract as principal will begin July 1, 2016. For questions or more information about the RHS principal appointment, please contact Kelly Jenkins, communications coordinator, at 541-923-8233.
