Bend Police Investigate Motel Shooting

Bend, Ore. – An altercation led to a man being shot at Bend Motel Tuesday night. Bend Police were called after 9pm to the Rodeway Inn and Suites, at 904 SE 3rd Street in Bend.

During the initial investigation, patrol officers found a male resident in room #147 who had sustained a single gunshot wound to his leg. Bend Fire and Rescue responded
and treated this male for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say two people went to the room to confront the guests. An altercation ensued between the four involved individuals, where one of the visitors fired at least one round from a handgun.

The two suspects left the room and the victims followed them out of the room. Another altercation ensued, where another round was fired from the same handgun.

This round struck a resident of the room in the leg. Both visitors fled from the motel in a 2016 dark blue Toyota Yaris. The Toyota Yaris has been located.

Police say the investigation continues and no other information is being released at this time.
