Bend’s Best Bites! This Week- Immersion Brewing

Bend, Ore. – You can’t miss it driving down Industrial Way in Bend – the gleaming copper colored brew tanks inside Immersion Brewing beckon you with the delicious beverages they hold inside. New to the Bend brewery scene, Immersion already has a reputation for having delicious food and great beer, opening their doors just this summer.

Immersion also offers something very unique to their guests – a Brew-It-Yourself program! For those who want to try brewing your own beer, but can’t due to a lack of space, supplies and knowledge, Immersion has everything you need. By the end of the process, 5 gallons of beer are made and bottled, and customized with your own label!

A very important element for Immersion is the focus on great local dishes to enjoy with their beer. Chef Jack H. Tate makes creative, flavorful dishes from fresh, organic and locally sourced ingredients. Nearly everything is made in-house, including the breads and pretzels made daily at 4am.

Owner Sean Lampe, a seasoned home and professional brewer makes delicious, flavorful beer that compliments Immersions’ delicious dishes.

KBNW’s Abby Taylor sat down with Sean and talked about how he and fellow owners Amanda and Rachel Plattner came up with the concept of Immersion. Abby sampled the marinated ahi tuna poke, topped with avocado salsa, ancho-pickled hothouse cucumber, Easter egg radish, and cascabell oil. They paired that with their very own Little Fawn Saison beer – the beer and tuna dish, a  light, delectable combo!
