Opening night of the High Desert Chamber Music 2016-17 season features a return of Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Frank Almond, back by popular demand! He will be performing works from his recently completed follow up recording to “A Violin’s Life – the Lipinski Stradivarius”. Crafted in 1715, this year marks the 301st anniversary of the instrument. His previous appearance in Bend was sold out, so don’t miss this performance to kick off High Desert Chamber Music’s ninth season.
Join Frank for a pre-concert talk about the Lipinski Stradivarius and the program beginning at 6:45pm. This event is free for all ticket holders.
Program: Brahms Violin Sonata No.2 Op.100, Lipinski Caprice Op.29 No.3, Janacek Violin Sonata, Beethoven “Kreutzer” Violin Sonata No.9 Op.47
