Murphey’s concert in Bend comes just twelve days before the release of his much-anticipated latest album—“High Stakes: Cowboy Songs VII”—a tribute to the beauties and hardships of the lives of working cattle ranchers. As a rare treat, “Murph” will give Tower Theatre concert-goers a pre-release sampling of songs from this exciting new edition to the “Cowboy Songs” series.

Murphey is playing this concert as a benefit event to help fund Andy Rieber’s ongoing treatment for Lyme Disease. Andy lives in Adel, Oregon, and has worked for years as a journalist and consultant, telling the story of ranching, agriculture, and rural America to a wider public audience. The Oregon Lyme DIsease Network will be on hand to educate and raise awareness about Lyme.
