Bend, Oregon is the Mountain Town that has it all, and that includes the Oregon Senior Games!
Competitors from around the country will gather in Bend for an unforgettable 3 weeks of athleticism from June 2-17 and fun. Athletes ages 50+ (National Senior Games qualifying age) can compete in one of the 15 sports offered.
Athletes placing first, second and third in each event will receive an Oregon Senior Games medal. Every year at the awards dinner several individuals participating in the Oregon Senior Games are recognized for who best characterize certain aspects of the Games. Outstanding athletes will be awarded Globetrotter Award (Farthest Traveled), “Sage” Award (Oldest Athlete), Volunteer of the Year Award, Sportsmanship Award and the “Philly Mac” Award (Athlete who encompasses the Senior Games movement). The 2018 dinner will be on Saturday, June 16 at 6:00 p.m. at a location to be finalized at a later date.
The 2018 Oregon Senior Games will be a qualifier for the 2019 National Senior Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There are 15 individual events with annual favorites such as bowling and pickleball and including a new event, indoor rock climbing.
