PENDLETON, OR — Oregon State Police investigating yesterday’s four-vehicle traffic crash that injured five people- one of them seriously- on Highway 11 north of Pendleton.
51-year-old Kari R. Wilson was northbound on Highway 11 near milepost 4 when her vehicle traveled into the southbound lane and struck the left side of a pickup truck.
That impact caused the pickup to go off the highway and roll at least once.
Wilson’s vehicle then collided nearly head-on with a Honda Civic.
Wilson’s vehicle then collided nearly head-on with another southbound vehicle, this time a Mini Cooper. Wilson’s vehicle finally came to rest on the Mini Cooper’s hood off the side of the highway.
The driver of the Civic, 24 year old Henry Becerril, was transported by LifeFlight to OHSU in Portland with serious injuries.
All the other occupants suffered minor injuries.
Highway 11 was closed at the scene for over four hours.
