Two Redmond Community Election Forums Announced

There will be two Redmond Community Election Forums as part of an ongoing series co-hosted by Redmond Kiwanis, Redmond Executive Assn, and Redmond Rotary Club since 2022. Friday, 24, at 1:00p, the forum will be held at the Redmond Senior Center and a recording posted online by Connect Central Oregon.

Community members can hear from and engage with candidates running for Deschutes County Assessor and County Commissioner positions #1 and #4.

The confirmed participants are:

  • County Assessor candidates: Zachary Hastings, Tana West
  • County Commissioner, position 1, candidates: Jamie Collins, Tony DeBone
  • County Commissioner, position 4, candidates: Rick Russell, Chet Wamboldt

Doors open at 12:45p.m., forum panels will run 1:00p.m. – 3:00p, with engagement opportunity to follow.

There is no cost to attend the candidate forum, thanks to the co-hosts! We hope the forum series creates opportunities for our Redmond community to get to know candidates, and their ideas, before voting this May.

Next week, on Friday, May 1, the forum will be held in the morning at the Redmond Library.

Community members will be able to engage with candidates running for Deschutes County Commissioner positions #3 and #5.

  • County Commissioner, position 5, candidates: Ron Boozell, Rob Imhoff, Jennifer Letz, Morgan Schmidt

On Friday, May 1, doors open at 10:15a.m., forum panels will run 10:30a – 12:00p, with engagement opportunity to follow.
