Maintenance work on Forest Service Road (FSR) 1230 and the associated temporary closure that was announced Friday, June 14, has been postponed. The road provides access to Jack Lake Trailhead, Glacier View Trail #4011, Canyon Creek Trail #4010, and Old Summit Trail #4014 on the Sisters Ranger District.
The project has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts. The District expects to complete the work later this month.
The maintenance project will improve road safety. The current chip seal is very worn and there are large potholes on the road surface. Road improvement work will include removal of one mile of chip seal on the road surface. Heavy equipment will pulverize the chip seal and covert it to gravel which will be used as the new road surface.
For more information, please contact the Sisters Ranger District at (541) 549-7700.
