Oregonians Rally to Save Outdoor School for All

Bend, Ore. – The countdown is on for whether the effort to Save Outdoor School for All will qualify for the Oregon ballot this fall.

After months of signature gathering, rallying supporters and fundraising, the deadline for first phase of the campaign that will help decide the fate of Oregon’s historic outdoor educational program is quickly approaching.

On Thursday, June 30, campaign organizers and officials will announce the status of the effort and whether or not the goal of gathering 120,000 signatures needed will be met.

If successful, voters will get the opportunity this fall to decide whether to dedicate full, permanent funding so that all 5th and 6th grade students throughout the state have the opportunity to benefit from a full week of Outdoor School education.

If the measure passes, funding to qualified programs could be available as early as mid-2017.
