Bend Celebrates ‘First Friday’ Return

First Friday’s are back in downtown Bend after 14 months of COVID restrictions. As more people become vaccinated and Deschutes County remains at low risk, Downtown Bend leaders say they feel safe about bringing back one of Bend’s favorite events. Here’s just a few things to make your first post pandemic art walk a little more fun:

Fire Damages Bend Home

Bend Firefighters responded to a fire to a townhome in Northwest Crossing Sunday. According to a media release: At 7:41 am on Sunday, May 10 2026, a garage fire was reported on NW Crossing Drive in Bend.

Shevlin Park Fishing Pond Closed May 11-15
