Crook County Closes Outdoor Debris Pile Burning

Crook County Fire and Rescue will be closing outdoor debris pile burning, and moving into its Summer Burn Regulations, starting Saturday, May 9, 2026.  The Fire District and Crook County will be moving into the designated fire season at that time.  Burn barrels and personal warming fires are still allowed after Saturday’s closure on designated Restricted Burn Days in accordance with the Crook County Outdoor Burn Regulations.  A copy of the regulations can be found on CCFR’s website, www.crookcountyfireandrescue.com.

Pine Mountain Fire Update

The Pine Mountain Fire experienced minimal growth overnight. Firefighters worked through the night constructing line to minimize fire spread. As of 8:30 a.m. Friday 5/8/26, the fire is currently estimated at 2,483 acres and is 15% contained.
